Course summary

Are you a Canadian university graduate? This accelerated undergraduate degree is designed just for you, and will help you complete your legal education in just two years. You’ll study a programme that includes bespoke Canadian Law modules alongside the subjects of English & Welsh Law which form the foundations of knowledge needed for a career on either side of the Atlantic. You can volunteer for pro-bono and participate in competitions specifically focussing on Canadian law. This two-year accelerated qualifying law degree is tailored to the needs of Canadian university graduates. You will develop your legal reasoning and problem-solving skills while learning to apply both English and Canadian law in its context. By studying ‘Foundations of Canadian Law’ and ‘Canadian Constitutional Law’, you will be equipped with a critical understanding of the framework and fundamentals of Canadian law, as well as prepared for the Canadian National Committee on Accreditation exams. This degree is recognised in England, Wales and Canada and will provide an excellent foundation to pursue a legal career in these countries. You will join our community of over 300 Canadian law students – the largest group in any UK university. Our student-run Canadian Law Society will not only support you during your time with us, but also provide you with a wealth of opportunities to enhance your prospects as a law graduate. Qualification requirements

To qualify, we require a Bachelor's Degree with: - at least a High 2:2. OR; - a CGPA ranging from B+ to B-, depending on the institution from which you have applied. Additional fee information

The tuition fee for home students is reviewed annually and for the academic year 2024/5 it is £9,250. The fees for following years have not yet been decided but are likely to increase each year in line with inflation, subject to government regulations. The inflation rate used will be RPIX, which includes all the items in the Retail Price Index, excluding mortgage payments. For your information, the inflation rate used by the Government when increasing the tuition fee from £9,000 to £9,250 was 2.8%.
