Course summary

Taught by industry-recognised experts, this course will enhance your clinical practice and expand your theoretical knowledge in the fields of cardiac rhythm management and clinical electrophysiology. Teaching covers a breadth of subjects, from advanced signal processing to biomedical ethics and law — providing a solid grounding in research methodologies, experimental design and statistics. A central objective of the course is to enable students to critically evaluate the legal requirements for human experiments and ethical issues relating to research with human subjects and human tissue. You will acquire in-depth knowledge of the technologies used in diagnostics and research, solving complex problems related to disease investigation. With a significant leadership and management component, the course will also help you understand and apply the principles of health and safety, quality control, research and statistical methods in their professional lives. This course is designed for healthcare practitioners, including physicians, nurses and physiologists, already working in the field of cardiology, particularly cardiac rhythm management and electrophysiology. Suitable for graduates who are interested in a research or an academic career, the course provides the knowledge and skills required for further study at doctoral level.
