Immersed in industry Our teaching staff hold an impressive array of industry experience between them – from industrial engineering and sustainability expertise, to cutting-edge materials scientists and business leaders. You’ll meet global industry experts, as well as benefitting from our links to organisations like BP and IChemE. Gaining skills from a variety of industrial and research placements, you’ll hit the ground running after you graduate. And with our specialist careers team, you’ll be supported every step of the way. You could step into power generation, environmental protection, or alternative energy roles, and work for big companies like Rolls-Royce and Genesis Pharmaceuticals. Our BEng Chemical Engineering programmes have been accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers, under licence from the UK regulator, the Engineering Council. Accreditation is a mark of assurance that the degree meets the standards set by the Engineering Council in the UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC). An accredited degree will provide you with some or all of the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills for eventual registration as an Incorporated (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng). Our BEng programmes meet the academic requirements for IEng.
