On our Geography with Business Management BSc, you’ll examine key aspects of geography, including sustainability, globalisation and social inequalities, and explore the dynamic global business environment. You’ll gain expertise in two exciting fields, inspiring you to become an effective leader, decision-maker, and agent of positive change. Our comprehensive programme explores various aspects of geography including physical, human, and environmental geography. You will examine geographical issues from local, regional and global perspectives so you can fully comprehend global challenges such as urbanisation and climate change and engage with current debates taking place within the field. There’s a strong focus on sustainable development principles, cultivating a commitment to sustainable practices and policies. From the business management sphere, you’ll study essential areas such as management, organisational performance, marketing strategy, finance and strategic thinking. The programme also provides you with the tools to strengthen your critical thinking, spatial analysis and data interpretation skills. You'll also learn robust research techniques, including quantitative and qualitative methods, as well as digital skills. Employability and opportunities to enhance your practical experience are integrated into our curriculum. We offer study abroad and industry work placement options and you’ll gain professional skills using digital, statistical and laboratory-based methods for collecting and analysing data in our state-of-the-art Central Science Labs. Through different field courses in the local area, across the UK and optional international activities, you’ll gain hands-on experience in applying these techniques and develop key technical skills using specialist software such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing. Plus, Keele’s 600-acre campus serves as a ‘living laboratory’, offering opportunities to study geographical features, ecosystems, and sustainability initiatives right on our doorstep, further preparing you to succeed in your future career.
