Course summary
Joining us as a PhD student gives you the chance to experience the buzz of being involved and a part of our efforts to shape the future of electronic engineering and computer science. We are well-known for our pioneering research and pride ourselves on our world-class cutting-edge research projects. We have a dynamic community of approximately 150 PhD students and 80 research assistants in our labs working on leading edge research centred around a number of research groups in the areas of computing and data science, networks, cognitive and creative computing, and AI. We also have exciting projects ongoing in our EPSRC Doctoral Training Centre in Media & Arts Technology (MAT) and UKRI Doctoral Training Centre in Artificial Intelligence and Music (AIM). We take pride in being a multidisciplinary school where several of our groups are involved in our research centres qMedia, the Centre for Intelligent Sensing and the Centre for Advanced Robotics.
