More about this course This master’s degree is designed to develop your skills and understanding of accounting and finance theory and practice. You’ll study the major disciplines in international accounting and finance, such as international financial reporting and advanced financial management, plus how these relate to business operations. By building a solid foundation of knowledge, you’ll be prepared for a professional or managerial role in the industry. Using our Bloomberg room, you’ll have access to the same Bloomberg financial data that’s used on trading floors and in investment houses around the world. Having access to this data will help inform your decisions, aid research, assist you in analysing facts and figures of the current market, and enable you to join the elite group of Bloomberg users around the world. As well as building knowledge of Bloomberg, you’ll also develop expertise in other financial services packages such as Sage accounting software, EViews’ statistical package and IBM’s SPSS statistics software. We understand the importance of industry insight, which is why you’ll be taught by people with industry experience and hear from practitioners via guest lectures. Assessment This course uses a range of assessment methods including essays, group work, case studies, individual presentations, coursework, mini-projects, group reports, in-class tests, seen and unseen exams.

Entry requirements
You'll be required to have a relevant 2:2 or higher undergraduate degree (or equivalent international qualification). For those holding degrees outside of these subjects, please get in touch to be considered. IELTs 6.0 as standard University entry requirement. For mature applicants without a degree, you may be considered on merit of 2+ years of appropriate work experience and other professional development or professional qualifications.
