Course summary
The MSc in Research Methods in International Development provides rigorous training in qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods approaches, accessible to people from a range of backgrounds. The course benefits from an inter-disciplinary student body, with people specialising in: Education; Human Geography; International Development; and Planning, Property and Environmental Management. The MSc provides an innovative blend of methodological training and discipline-specific modules. You will study:
- Four methodological modules, covering qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research.
- Four discipline-specific modules in International Development from a range of optional units.
- A dissertation.
Entry requirements
We require a UK Honours degree with a First or strong Upper Second (>64.9%) classification or the overseas equivalent, in any relevant discipline. When assessing your academic record we take into account the grades you have achieved and the standing of the institution where you studied your qualification.
