Course summary

This diploma allows you to develop your knowledge and understanding of theoretical physics and the underpinning mathematics. You’ll gain a thorough grounding in mathematical concepts, theories and their uses and combine them with fundamental physics concepts (including Newtonian mechanics). Practise using applied mathematics tools, including mathematical methods modelling and essential methods and tools; increase your familiarity with mathematical software. You’ll also learn skills in communicating clear and concise arguments and conclusions. Key features of the course

Modules

This diploma of higher education has two stages, each comprising 120 credits: In Stage 1, you’ll study 120 credits from the standard start or basic mathematics start. In Stage 2, you’ll study two 60-credit modules.
