Course summary
Strength and conditioning are at the heart of all sports, improving the fitness and function of the athletes. This course will develop skills and knowledge to allow you to have a sound knowledge base, that is applied to practice, to enhance performance. You begin by developing an understanding of strength production and how these would be linked to the creation of training programmes. This knowledge is put into practical application by developing the skills and coaching ability with athlete groups. You finish your postgraduate degree with a period in the workplace assisting relevant groups with performance enhancement and researching a topic that will hopefully give you the chance to contribute to the body of literature within strength and conditioning to inform future practices.
