Course summary

The postgraduate programme in periodontology is designed to provide practitioners with in-depth evidence-based knowledge and technical skills that can be applied in their practice while pursuing a postgraduate education degree. The structure of the programme allows practitioners to experience the surgical techniques in periodontology. You will work closely with the periodontal team to develop understanding, teamwork skills and confidence in treatment planning for advanced periodontal cases and in developing your own case portfolio. You will be taught by our internationally recognised academic staff and consultants as well as visiting experts in the field. Access outstanding resources through the Clinical Skills Suite and Clinics at our new School plus Vesalius Clinical Training Unit.‌

Entry requirements

You will typically need a Bachelor of Dental Surgery or an equivalent United Kingdom General Dental Council-registrable dental qualification. You will also need at least two year's work experience in dentistry post graduation and must be registered with the UK General Dental Council; a current GDC registration certificate must be uploaded with the application. You must submit all required documents to the specifications detailed in the programme's Admissions Statement to be considered for review.
