Course summary
The MLitt in Intellectual History is an interdisciplinary programme which provides students with a broad knowledge of the latest intellectual-historical research, encompassing politics, religion, philosophy, science, international relations, economics and literature.
Modules
Modules include: Turning points in the history of ideas; current controversies in intellectual history; theory and practice of intellectual history; directed reading; dissertation.
Assessment method
MLitt: 9 months of coursework relating to modules and successful completion of supervised 15,000-word dissertation. MPhil: 9 months of coursework relating to modules and successful completion of supervised 40,000-word thesis
Entry requirements
A UK 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent from a recognised overseas institution.
