Course summary

This PgCert in Non-Surgical Facial Aesthetics (NSFA), delivered in partnership with the ICE Postgraduate Dental Institute and Hospital, is aimed at GDC-registered Dental Practitioners, Therapists/Hygienists, GMC-registered Medical Practitioners, and NMC-registered Nurses. The course provides core clinical skills and competency in administering Botulinum toxin (Botox) and dermal fillers through both clinical support and academic instruction. You will gain essential knowledge and skills for high-standard patient care, critically evaluate evidence-based practice, and understand current legislation and ethics. The programme includes hands-on experience in a purpose-built facility, opportunities to observe qualified practitioners, and receive formative feedback. Structured reflections and an ePortfolio will support your development as a lifelong, reflective learner. This course is for professionals with a relevant degree at level 6 and post-qualification experience in their respective fields.

Assessment method

Clinical and academic skills are assessed through a variety of formative and summative techniques, including an ePortfolio of clinical learning, essays, oral presentations, and observations with feedback on clinical skills.
