Course summary

*Subject to Approval BSc (Hons) Applied Animal Management (Top-Up) is designed to reflect ongoing developments within the animal industry including the use of working animals within society, the need to protect and enhance the habitats and populations of animal species as well as the importance of enhancing animal health and welfare through the use of evidence-driven practice provided by the work of a broad range of animal care practitioners. The programme is designed to enable students who have already completed sub-degree (eg. HND or Foundation Degree) within this subject area to continue their studies on to Honours Degree level.

Modules

Typical Modules Include: Animal Conservation and Breeding Modalities of Animal Therapy Animal Assisted Interventions Current Issues in Animal Sciences Dissertation *Optional modules will run where there are sufficient student numbers, otherwise an alternative option module may be offered.

Additional fee information

Tuition fees will remain unchanged for the duration of a student's continuous enrolment. Additional Course Costs Workwear and Personal Protective Equipment - £120 (Compulsory); DBS check - £48.20 (Compulsory). Additional compulsory course costs will be paid for using the Career Degree Bursary. The scheme allows students to access the remainder of the bursary (up to a maximum value of £500 / £250) for additional optional courses, workshops, professional memberships and resources. There is no cash alternative. Students who wish to access opportunities in excess of the Career Degree Bursary may do so at full cost to themselves.
