This course will give you a solid scientific grounding in the science of ecology and how it can be used to conserve species. During the foundation year, you will study the following units: Applied Sciences; Academic Study Skills; Introduction to Biology; Introduction to Psychology; Mathematics in Science; and Foundation Year Project. As part of the degree, you will study a number of units including: diversity of life, ecology, ecological research skills, physical geography, residential field trip, wildlife protection, ecosystems, behavioural ecology, evolutionary biology, advances skills for conservation and an independent research project along with a number of optional units.
