Speech and language therapists work with people of all ages with speech, language and communication difficulties, and swallowing disorders. Our Speech and Language Therapy degree offers you the opportunity to join this exciting profession and gain a Health and Care Professions Council approved qualification as a speech and language therapist. This is a vibrant and stimulating Speech and Language Therapy degree with an excellent reputation. Students are taught by a dedicated team of lecturers that includes experienced speech and language therapists with a wide range of specialisms, as well as researchers whose work is known internationally. There are guest lectures from clinical specialists and service users who share their perspectives. We have long-established links with the NHS, and all of our students have the chance to gain hands-on clinical experience with a range of adult and paediatric clients. Placement opportunities are very varied, ranging from our in-house clinics to hospitals, clinics and schools. You will develop your expertise in assessing and treating a diverse range of client groups. Due to this programme being NHS funded and therefore limited places being available which may fluctuate each year, unfortunately deferred applications cannot be considered.
