This degree will equip you with the skills to lead, teach, and motivate through movement, setting you on the path to an exciting career in education or youth sports. You'll study foundational teaching skills, where you’ll learn how to design, lead, and assess impactful PE lessons. You’ll take a modern approach to physical education to create positive, active learning environments. You’ll build on these essentials, giving you the experience to motivate students across all levels and abilities. As part of the course, you will explore strategies to make sport and physical activity accessible and enjoyable for everyone. This includes gaining insights into inclusive physical education. You’ll gain the skills to work in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and community settings. We prioritise work experience, so you can gain practical skills and experience. This can include school placements, SEND services and other relevant sports organisations. In your second year, you can also choose to complete a year in industry. In your final year, you’ll apply everything you’ve learned to an independent research project. This will give you the chance to research an area that's important to you.
