Through a variety of practical, hands-on experiences, you will become proficient in the vast array of techniques, processes and solutions that are required in the design and planning process of modern construction projects. With our Architectural Technology (including foundation year) BSc (Hons) course, that specialist could be you. After four years, you could be advising major industry clients on project designs, specifications, feasibility, and contract management. This foundation course is designed for students with the motivation to become active members of the built environment industry, but who may not have the qualifications necessary to apply to one of our three-year degree courses. You will develop key study skills and gain enough academic experience to go on to excel in any of our built environment programmes. We offer a variety of guest lectures, fieldwork and site visits, all of which are designed to provide you with the opportunity to connect with influential property companies, as well as gain necessary industry knowledge and experience. Get ready for the rest of your degree. During the first year of your foundation degree, you will have gained all the study skills you need to succeed. Then you will be ready to join all the other students beginning the three-year Architectural Technology and benefit from exactly the same course content and module curriculum. After three years you will be ready to graduate as a professional architectural technologist.

Assessment method
