Our BSc (Hons) Business Management with Foundation Year programme has been designed to develop your leadership and management skills, preparing you for a successful career in business. Whether you want to better prepare for academic life, didn't get the grades you needed or you've taken a break from studying, the foundation year is designed to prepare you for future studies, so everyone is welcome. / Study the fundamental principles that underpin a career in business / Gain a base level knowledge of business and management / Build your own personal portfolio to enhance your CV and demonstrate your knowledge to future employers This programme is also available with: • Placement Year - on the placement year option, you will not pay fees to the University and will earn a wage for the work that you do. • Study Abroad – study with one of our partner Universities for a semester or a year. Modules
Foundation Year: Foundations of Business, Academic and Personal Skills, Sustainable Business Development, Digital Business, Business Project, Employability for Life. Year 1: Understanding Organisations, Business Finance in Practice, The Future of Business, Digital and Business Skills, Data Analysis for Business, Creative Problem Solving and Decision Making. Year 2: Professional Development, Operations Management, Project Management, Marketing to Consumers in the Digital Age, Live Project for Business. You will also choose an elective module. Year 3: Business Ethics and Sustainability, Supply Chain Management and Digital Transformation, Leadership and Management in Business, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Final Project. Assessment method
We use different forms of assessment in different modules and wherever possible these will reflect the types of work you will do in the ‘real world’ for example, report writing, presentations and business pitches. Exams will only be used when it is a requirement for professional accreditation. Throughout your studies, the work you produce will help to build your personal portfolio of professional evidence that you will be able to use in job applications and interviews
