Modules
Gain a clear understanding of how finance shapes business decisions – from capital investment and portfolio management to international risk and strategic direction. You’ll study core areas including corporate finance, financial planning, marketing, and global business strategy, developing the tools to analyse risk, interpret financial data and lead with commercial insight. Modules explore how global markets shift, how companies plan for long-term value, and how strategy is shaped in complex financial environments. Alongside this, you’ll examine international trade, exchange rate dynamics and cross-border decision-making – building confidence in your ability to operate across sectors, markets and regulatory frameworks. The course finishes with an independent dissertation on a finance and business topic of your choice. It’s your opportunity to explore a real-world issue in depth, apply critical thinking, and deliver insight with professional relevance.
Assessment method
Assessments on this MSc are varied, practical and designed to reflect the real world. From business reports and reflective essays to video pitches and research projects, you’ll apply your knowledge in ways that matter. Most modules include one or two assignments, so you’ll build confidence while developing communication and critical thinking skills.

To apply for this master’s degree, you’ll typically need: ✓ A 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent) from a recognised institution. ✓ We may also consider applicants with a non-degree qualification that is deemed by Walbrook Institute London to be of an appropriate standard for postgraduate study. Other qualifications: ✓ Overseas qualifications may be accepted and will be subject to evidence of equivalency, normally verified through ECCTIS (UK ENIC).
