Top-up to an honours degree in two years if you have a foundation degree or equivalent qualification. This degree will put you in a solid position to develop a career in information technology. You’ll be able to engage with challenges such as the specification, design, deployment and management of computing and IT systems. This top-up degree has one stage, comprising 120 credits: Your existing study makes up Stages 1 and 2. In Stage 3, you’ll choose three 30-credit modules and complete a 30-credit project module.

Qualification requirements
You must have passed one of the following OU qualifications: Foundation Degree in Computing and IT Practice (X15) Diploma of Higher Education in Computing and IT Practice (W15) Some modules within this qualification also have entry requirements: TM351 – you must have passed Object-oriented Java programming (M250) and Algorithms, data structures and computability (M269) TM352 – you must have passed Object-oriented Java programming (M250) and Web technologies (TT284) TM355 – you must have passed Discovering mathematics (MU123), Essential mathematics 1 (MST124) or Engineering: mathematics, modelling, applications (T194) Alternatively, you must have a similar qualification from somewhere else, for example: a foundation degree in a relevant subject a DipHE in a relevant subject an HND in a relevant subject plus work experience Talk to an advisor about how to apply.
