Assessment method

The course is designed to prepare you for the Solicitors Regulations Authority SQE1 standardised assessment and to equip you with the practical skills needed for a diverse range of legal related careers. Our assessment approach emphasises the practical application of legal knowledge and skills to real world issues and scenarios: 1. Multiple-Choice Assessment (Simulating SQE1): You will undertake a multiple-choice assessment that simulates the Solicitor Regulation Authority SQE1 standardised assessment. This assessment is intended to gauge your application of Functioning Legal Knowledge (FLK). This type of assessment prepares you to become familiar with the format and style of questions you will encounter in the formal SQE1 Assessment. 2. Portfolio of Legal Skills Development: You will compile a portfolio recording your practical legal skills development. 3. Optional Module Assessments: The assessment of optional modules will involve written coursework based on real-world tasks and scenarios. This assessment format challenges students to identify issues, analyse relevant rules and principles, and propose practical solutions to actual problems.
