Course summary
This one year course is suitable for young, mature adults seeing to reskill / upskill in the engineering sector. Students continue to build on the essential skills, knowledge and techniques necessary for all engineers whilst working through a larger number of subject-specific specialist and optional units
Modules
This year has 5 mandatory units out of which two are core units including one unit assessed by a Pearson-set assignment and three are specialist units. In addition to mandatory units, there are two additional specialist units. All units are 15 credit units except Research project which is a 30 credit unit. Assessment method
Assessment is through a series of time-constrained written assignments which involve design projects, practical, simulation, posters, logbooks and presentations
Qualified teacher status (QTS)
