Course summary

Our Global Sports Journalism degree gives you a comprehensive understanding of the world of multi-media sports journalism. You’ll gain industry-standard, career-focused practical skills and expertise and good knowledge of employment opportunities. You will: Work with other students and colleagues and demonstrate innovative and self-resourcefulness Create original multi-media sports content across a range of platforms and formats, using contemporary technologies Research and reflect on the increasing diversity of the sports landscape both in the UK and abroad. Research and interpret the diverse sociological, cultural, economic, and political contexts of sports in the UK and internationally Identify and understand the nature, implementation and benefits of diversity across the sports media landscape Reflect critically on sports research and academic enquiry Seek and use placements and work experience across a diverse range of industry settings The MA Global Sports Journalism will prepare you for a wide range of roles in today's dynamic digital media environment.

Assessment method

Your assessments will take the form of coursework and practical assignments. There are no exams. Feedback will be offered continuously throughout the course either individually or in groups. We aim to provide feedback on your assessments with 15 days working days of your deadline date.


Entry requirements

Bachelor's degree with minimum Second Class (2:2) in related field. We accept a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications.
