Are you interested in learning how economic principles and data drive real-world business decisions? Course description On our Business Economics degree, you will explore how economic principles and data support decision-making in businesses and organisations as they respond to real-world challenges such as competition, innovation, sustainability, and global economic change. In the first year, you will study alongside students on the Economics degree, building rigorous foundations in economic theory and empirical analysis that are applied to current real-world policy issues and the business environment. You will take part in economics games and a business simulation to experience decision making first-hand and test the extent to which theories explain real world behaviour. You will also learn how to analyse real-world data using Excel. Our teaching team includes six winners of national teaching awards, co-authors of a best-selling economics textbook, and established researchers who bring expertise to the curriculum.
