Course summary
Lead the response to the world's energy challenges with MEng Energy Engineering. You'll master the science of energy and develop expertise and practical skills to open the door to in-demand roles in the energy sector. From thermodynamics and fluid mechanics to system design and life cycle analysis, you'll explore the science and technologies required to respond to global energy challenges. With a specialist understanding of energy production, conversion and storage, you'll be prepared to start your career as an engineer in the energy sector. Develop the knowledge, skills and judgment to begin a professional career in the energy sector with MEng Energy Engineering. Explore the fundamental science of energy engineering as you study energy use, transportation, generation and storage. With your fourth-year project you’ll develop high-level modelling and experimental skills and dive deeper into areas that most interest you. You'll examine and optimise whole energy system approaches while considering how ethical and sustainable development can enhance our efforts to transition to a net zero energy economy.
