Interested in exploring the connection between the law and the business world? If you’re drawn towards the more business-related aspect of law, this is the course for you. You’ll have the chance to study the essential elements of a law degree, while gaining insight into commercial law, business management, economics, leadership and environmental analysis. Benefit from our close links to leading law firms with networking opportunities at our annual careers convention. Turn theory into practice with real-life, hands-on experience working alongside legal professionals in our Legal Advice Centre and Mediation Centre. As part of this course, you’ll spend your third year at one of our partner universities in Germany, France, Italy, Spain or the Netherlands. Why study at Hull? • Practice Makes Perfect: Polish your legal skills with mock trials, client interviewing competitions, and Law Society mooting in our two courtrooms. • Real-World Experience: Gain valuable insights into business law with our Real-World Law module, created with top law firms and taught by commercial law practitioners. • Shape Your Degree: Choose business-focused modules to personalise your course. Explore areas like organisational change, legal partnerships, and international business law. Where could this take me? While many graduates of Law with Business Management go on to legal careers, like solicitor, barrister, legal executive or paralegal, this degree can also broaden your career horizons in other directions. The business knowledge and skills you’ll gain will also open up potential career pathways in commercial areas, for example the finance industry, banking or business management. And like all our LLB degrees, it can open doors to careers in the civil service, politics, local government, education and the HM Armed Forces.

Assessment method
You'll be assessed through a combination of written, practical and coursework assessments throughout your degree. Written assessment typically includes exams and multiple choice tests. Practical is an assessment of your skills and competencies. This could include presentations, school experience, work experience or laboratory work. Coursework typically includes essays, written assignments, dissertations, research projects or producing a portfolio of your work.
