Course summary

Enhance technical skills necessary to operate effectively in the field of finance while exploring how to practically apply these skills and understand the range of impacts that finance has on different business activities. This programme will provide you with the opportunity to combine a focus on practice and your previous studies or workplace experience, with the critical management scholarship of an elite AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA accredited Management School. Students who enrol on a PG Certificate or PG Diploma and successfully complete their award will be eligible to progress towards the full MSc. Why study this subject?  Throughout the programme you will gain an extensive understanding of contemporary principles of finance and investment management and how these are applied to financial intermediation, savings, and investment. You will also gain an understanding of the practices of financial markets including the use of ‘state-of-the-art’ industry analytics. Assessment method

Assessment is exclusively through online assignments rather than examinations. You will be assessed through a range of activities, including written assignments, discussion forum participation and journal entries.

All applicants must provide evidence that they have an English language ability equivalent to an IELTS (academic) score of 6.5. If you don’t have an IELTS or equivalent certificate, you can take our free online English test to assess your proficiency. You don’t need to prove your English ability if you are a national of, or have completed a qualification equivalent to a UK degree in, any of these countries.
