The dynamic hospitality industry is a thriving business sector offering plenty of exciting career opportunities, including in tourism and travel, leisure, and events planning. This Business with Hospitality Management BA(Hons) degree aims to prepare you for a potentially rewarding career working for world-class hotels, theme parks, country clubs, exhibition venues and more. Through practical application and creatively delivered lectures, workshops, and seminars, you’ll learn key hospitality industry knowledge and develop your leadership skills in areas of marketing, human resources, and operations management. On campus, you’ll study a wide range of subjects including: • principles of marketing • global dynamics • services marketing • Hospitality, Events, Leisure, Sport and Tourism (HELST). Throughout the course, you’ll take ASPIRE modules, allowing you to work on a real business challenge while preparing you to transition from higher education to the workplace. In the third year, you’ll put your knowledge and skills to the test in an optional 48-week work placement in your area of interest, in the UK or abroad. You’ll utilise our links with local, national, and international companies throughout many industries and the placement could enhance your employability and foster personal development. This course will prepare you for a variety of potentially exciting careers in a range of fields in the industry. You could work as a sales and marketing manager, international account executive, operations manager or food and beverage manager. You’ll be able to work for other organisations, or even pursue your passions by creating your own business. Professional Bodies We work closely with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and you’ll have the opportunity to achieve a CMI qualification in Management and Leadership (Level 5). You’ll also be studying at an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International-accredited Business School.
