Studying business analytics will help to give you skills needed to excel in the era of ‘big data’. If you are committed to a close understanding of the data-driven business world, from web analytics to global logistics management, this degree is for you. The BSc Business Management degree at Swansea University is the most established programme within the School of Management, known for producing highly skilled and commercial thinking business managers. Graduates have gone on to work for the world’s biggest brands including Shell UK, Marks & Spencer, Bloomberg and Tata. As well as specialising in business analytics, this Business Management course is designed to equip you with essential modern expertise in marketing, operations management, finance, accountancy, strategy and human resources. The third year of this 4-year course with a Year in Industry will be spent on placement. You will have the opportunity to gain real-world industry experience and develop your employability skill set. We have a strong network of industry contacts, and you will receive dedicated support from our employability team, ranging from CV advice through to mock interviews.

Modules

Your first year of study is made up of 7 compulsory modules covering key elements of Business Management. Compulsory modules are studied by all students on the programme, meaning you are automatically enrolled. Examples of compulsory modules include: • Marketing • Human Resource Management • Operations Management First year students must also choose 1 elective module to complete their year's teaching and learning. Students on some of our Business Specialism pathways will have this elective module built into their programme, therefore will have it selected for them. Your second and fourth years will comprise of a mixture of compulsory and optional modules. The split between compulsory and optional choice will depend on the Business specialism you have chosen. Examples of optional modules in recent years have included: • Project Management • Application Development • Lean Operations • Digital Marketing • Sustainable Tourism The third year of this 4-year course with a Year in Industry will be spent on placement. Your final year will include a large compulsory project for all Business Management students, including both group and individual assessment, further preparing you for the world of work. Assessment method

We offer a variety of assessment methods within our programmes. Qualification requirements
