Acting and Performance at Huddersfield is a production-based course for those that wish to create their own performances and workshops through acting or directing. You may go into contemporary theatre or find yourself writing for theatre productions. Stage production is also another viable career option, and past students have gone on to appear in films, television, touring theatre productions, teaching, and running their own performance companies. Following her acting degree, former alumni Natalie Galvin secured roles in prominent TV shows, including Line of Duty and Gentleman Jack. Assessment method

There are no written examinations; you’ll complete assessments such as presentations, performances, and essays. You'll experience practical workshops and performance projects, lectures and seminars, and one-to-one tutorials. You can show your knowledge and understanding of acting and performance through workshops, performances, and other creative practical processes, also through presentations, essays, scripts, portfolios and working notebooks or dissertations. Offers will be subject to an audition, after which you will be invited to attend an Applicant Visit Day, at which you will have the opportunity to discuss and be given feedback on your portfolio. English language requirements

If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent.
