Sport Business Management (with placement) at University of Gloucestershire - UCAS

Course summary

Why Sport Business Management (with placement)? Combine your passion for sport with developing business management expertise and graduate a step ahead of the competition with a professional sports-industry placement. Sport has never had a higher profile with international sporting events, recreational activities and competitive sport prioritised on political agendas. On this course, you’ll learn the core business management themes from the perspective of the sports sector including: marketing, finance, facility operations, project and event management as well as how to manage people. You’ll learn from sports industry experts and will have the opportunity to go on field trips to sporting venues to help develop your understanding of management challenges through real-life case studies (additional costs may apply, see course web page for details). Fundamental to the course will be the industry experience you will gain from a professional placement – previous students have benefited from opportunities with Huddersfield Town Football Club, Sussex Sharks Cricket Club, Gloucestershire Football Association, Mark Johnston Racing, IronmanUK, Gullivers Sports Travel, Barbury Shooting School, Ibis Golf and Country Club (Florida) and O’Neil Surf Academy (New Zealand) amongst many others.
