The new Digital Marketing Certificate of Higher Education course will develop your knowledge and skills in marketing communications, reflecting the changes in industry demand for specialist digital marketeers. By successfully completing this Certificate, you could go on to studying Digital Marketing at degree level, you will develop a solid understanding of the role of marketing within an organisation. You will learn about fundamental marketing processes and developments within contemporary digital marketing to become an expert in planning, executing and evaluating digital marketing campaigns. This course involves a significant amount of practical application and the opportunity to experience live client projects and case studies.
Modules
Principles of Marketing An introduction to the aspects of marketing processes and discover how they apply in real life marketing situations. Examine current issues in marketing management and design such as how the service industry businesses has needed to adapt to a rapidly changing digital environment. Marketing Research Get to grips with key concepts and techniques in marketing research. Develop skills to commission, manage, interpret and use marketing information. This module covers both quantitative and qualitative research methods, as well as how to run and manage research projects. Marketing Communications You will explore traditional and contemporary perspectives on integrated marketing communications, with a focus on how persuasive communications might influence the judgements, attitudes and behaviour of audiences. You will take look at a range of communication tools, such as Advertising, Direct Marketing, Personal Selling, PR and publicity. This module will involve a significant amount of practical work. Writing and Design for Digital An insight into the best practices when writing and designing for digital, such as websites, e-newsletters, social media or news articles. Develop your content creation skills for the web, with understanding of how content is consumed by the target audience, as well as the technical aspect of writing and designing for search engines.
