PROGRAMME STRUCTURE You will take five core courses and one optional course, and complete a substantial independent piece of work, normally in the form of a dissertation, which offers you the flexibility to pursue studies in your chosen area of interest, on a theme related to financial analysis. Core courses Corporate Finance and Securities Financial Econometrics Financial Management in Banking Capital Markets and Investment Dissertation and Research Methods Optional courses Asset Pricing and Macro-Finance Climate Finance and ESG Investment Data Science and Machine Learning in Finance Financial Risk Management CAREER PROSPECTS Recent graduates have become finance managers, wealth managers, VAT managers, audit specialists, planning & business analysts and personal financial advisers, and work for companies such as KPMG and Deloitte as well as most major banks and financial institutions around the world. We have a dedicated careers and employability team who provide 1-2-1 support and advice, group workshops, employer events on campus and networking opportunities throughout the year to help you with your career prospects.

Entry requirements

2.1 Hons (or non-UK equivalent) in any subject with at least 1 credit bearing module in Introductory Finance and/or Economics and/or Introductory Accounting at an average grade of pass AND at least 1 credit bearing module in SCQF Level 6 Numeracy (or equivalent) at an average grade of pass. International students with academic qualifications below those required should contact our partner institution, Glasgow International College, who offer a range of pre-Masters courses.
