Course summary
The course is delivered at University Centre Myerscough and awarded by the University of Central Lancashire. The course provides a management-focused golf programme and is designed to develop awareness and ability in corporate management, giving students the skills and confidence necessary to manage others in the golf industry. The modules studied allow for the analysis of management issues underpinning golf. An ethos of career planning and development runs through the curriculum, in order to develop employability and prepare students for a successful career in the UK or overseas. A Golf Management Project is also included in the final year of the programme, enabling students to produce a detailed piece of academic research relating to the golf industry. The course is designed to enable successful students to analyse key academic themes and critically evaluate the wide range of management issues within different sectors of the golf industry.
