Develop a rewarding career helping patients prevent and manage musculoskeletal conditions with this accredited degree. You’ll experience clinical learning by getting hands on in our state-of-the-art, award-winning facilities and spend at least 400 hours on placement with partners including professional sports clubs, the NHS and private practitioners. On this career-focused course, you’ll also get the opportunity to treat real patients from the local community as part of our Health Injury and Performance (HIP) Hub. Clinical skills in the prevention, assessment and management of neuro-musculoskeletal injuries are highly sought after by employers in sports clubs, the military, in private practice and especially within the NHS. There are plenty of opportunities in this worthwhile field, and we’re on-hand to help you find your place in the industry. You'll have access to advice from our careers team and the chance to network with potential employers at our annual Student Thesis Conference, as well as establishing links during your placements.

Core modules include: Human Anatomy Introduction to Musculoskeletal Injuries and Assessment Human Physiology Therapeutic Interventions Introduction to Exercise and Training Advanced Rehabilitation and Conditioning Advancing Clinical Skills Neurodynamics Management of Exercise and Physical Activity on Health and Disease All modules are subject to availability and this list may change.

Assessment method

You'll be assessed through a combination of written, practical and coursework assessments throughout your degree. Written assessment typically includes exams and multiple choice tests. Practical is an assessment of your skills and competencies. This could include presentations, school experience, work experience or laboratory work. Coursework typically includes essays, written assignments, dissertations, research projects or producing a portfolio of your work.
