Course summary
The Professional Masters in Solicitors Legal Practice will develop the knowledge and skills required for both the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) 1 and 2 assessments. This course will equip you with the tools to prepare for the SQE 1 and SQE 2 assessments. The programme offers a highly practical learning environment, designed to prepare you for a career as a Solicitor. The pathway options will allow you to expand your legal knowledge outside the Functioning Legal Knowledge required by the SQE and focus on issues such as Immigration, Employment and Intellectual Property (subject to availability). Entry requirements
Law Graduates: Either an Undergraduate Law Degree from an English or Welsh University at a minimum of 2:2 Honours, or Graduate Diploma in Law (or equivalent) qualification from an English or Welsh University Non-Law Graduates: Applications are welcome from individuals with non-Law Undergraduate Degrees at a minimum of 2:2 Honours. An interview will be necessary to ensure that applicants have the required legal knowledge before the course commences. We will look at alternative or professional qualifications, life experience, motivation, and commitment. For students who cannot establish the required legal knowledge, they many need to complete a conversion course, such as Graduate Diploma in Law (or equivalent) from an English or Welsh University International Applications: In addition to the admissions requirements stated above, where English is not the primary language an IELTS score of at least 6.5 must be proven as a condition for admission to this programme
