Your final year will equip you with the advanced knowledge and research skills to enter a specialist career or research area after graduation. From analytic functions to topics in group theory, in your final year, you will have the flexibility to choose from a variety of research-led, advanced topics that suit your field of interests. You will also complete a substantial project. This will allow you to integrate and apply your theoretical knowledge and problem-solving skills to an advanced research problem within the discipline. To equip you with the skills needed when undertaking research, you will gain experience in working in depth on a problem over an extended period, writing reports and communicating mathematical results to a range of academic audiences.
