During your studies you will consider a variety of production practices, including digital filmmaking, screenwriting and digital photography. You will also be developing professionally focused research skills, as well as pre and post-production techniques. The history of film and photography will also be considered, where you will learn the theoretical approaches to understanding and evaluating these forms of media. You will have access to the latest industry-standard equipment and software, and the skills you develop on the course will be directly transferable to employment opportunities within the creative media sector. Throughout this course you will be encouraged to develop a critical and reflective approach to your own practice, enabling you to adapt and grow as an independent practitioner. Upon completion, you will have developed both technical and transferable skills, which could lead to a range of careers within this dynamic and evolving sector. Level 4 (Year 1 for full-time students) develops the underpinning knowledge and principles associated with the adventure leadership sector, for example the principles and philosophy of adventure leadership and psychology of the outdoors. Level 5 (Year 2 for full-time students) develops the foundations of understanding from Level 4 to support with the progression of more critical thinking skills such as analysing the impacts of the adventure sector and future trends and opportunities.
