Course summary
Our LLB International Law degree enables you to study both domestic and international law with the option to remain at the Law School throughout your degree or to spend either the second half of your second year or the whole of your third year studying abroad (returning to the Law School for your final year). This course enables you to study Law from an international perspective. You will explore the foundations of international relations and you will be able to take optional modules such as the Laws of Armed Conflict or United States Law. By studying an exciting range of domestic and international law topics relevant to our global society, you will gain the skills that are needed in a changing business climate, both in the UK and overseas. - Students benefit from our renowned expertise in mooting. You will take certain modules which incorporate mooting skills and can also can get involved in international and national mooting competitions for which we have a winning track record.
- You can join our thriving LEX Student Law Society and get involved with a range of sporting, social, and networking activities.
- You will learn in outstanding facilities, including a suite of authentic mock courtrooms and mooting rooms.
- Upon graduation you can choose to apply for one of our courses preparing you for the Solicitors Qualifying Exam. It also enables you to progress on to the LLM Barristers Training Course (BTC) or PGDip BTC for intending barristers.
Modules
You will build on your knowledge throughout the course to develop a sound appreciation of the role of law in relation to international issues, something that is vital in an increasingly globalised employment market. In Year Three you have the opportunity to spend a full year studying abroad at one of our partner universities. This provides an exciting chance to experience life in another country and look at law from an international perspective.

Additional fee information
The UK Government recently announced an increase to the Home Undergraduate tuition fee from £9,250 (the 2024 entry fee) to £9,535 for 2025 entry. This is subject to Parliamentary approval and is therefore still to be confirmed. The current expectation is that the NTU tuition fee for 2025 entry will be £9,535.
