Course summary

Why study this course? Our Artificial Intelligence and Robotics BEng degree with foundation year is a comprehsenive programme designed to offer learners specialised expertise and invaluable hands-on experience in AI and Robotics. You'll learn key skills in AI, software programming, user-centred design and more, preparing you for a diverse career in this exciting industry. As a Bachelor of Engineering, you'll be equipped with the expertise to pursue an engineering career in a diverse range of sectors following your degree. Graduates of he BEng (Hons) AI and Robotics degree with a foundation year go on to work in Automation, AI, Robotics, Manufacturing, Aerospace and more. After your degree, you'll also have the option of studying for a relevant master's degree or engaging in research for a PhD, should you want to continue studying. More about this course Our Artificial Intelligence and Robotics degree course features an integrated foundation year, offering you the chance to build up important core knowledge at the beginning of your studies. During this year, you'll develop essential skills relating to artificial intelligence and related technologies, setting you up for success throughout your degree. This four-year artificial intelligence degree course is delivered from London Metropolitan University's Holloway campus, just a short journey away from London's most historic landmarks and global tech businesses. Modules are designed to offer an engaging learning experience and enhance your chances of course success, incorporating traditional lectures, interactive tutorials and innovative lab-based workshops. The following two-years of this course are designed to teach you key skills in subjects essential to all engineering disciplines, including teaching core and AI and robotics expertise. In your third year of this AI degree, you'll have the opportunity to select a key subject of interest from within the AI and robotics space, including electronic systems, programming, microprocessors, network engineering and more. With the continued support of your supervisor, you'll then embark on and specialise in an individual project based on your subject of choice. During your studies, you'll have easy access to extensive learner support, supplementary resources and study materials through our virtual learning environment (VLE). You'll have the opportunity to work within industry-standard facilities, including engineering modelling and simulation laboratories, production laboratories and professional research centres.
