You know that to successfully manage supply chains you need to know a lot, about a lot, and you relish the challenge of learning the theory and practice behind all the steps that get products from A to B. You’re keen to learn more about the external factors that can cause delays and breakdowns in the supply chain and how you can use your problem-solving skills to get things moving again. Getting supplies to customers requires skills in project management, leadership, business analysis, strategic management, risk management and opportunity optimisation all of which our specialist staff will help you develop. There’s also the option to study at Chelmsford for two years and gain valuable experience in Year 2, with a choice of professional experience modules. We want you to graduate ready to impress employers with your practical experience and know-how. That’s why you’ll get hands-on from day one with our Managing Supply Chains in Practice module as well as with LINKS, our intensive supply chain simulation game. You’ll develop crucial knowledge of supply chains and industry connections with our guest lecturers, networking opportunities and field trips to the Jaguar plant, Amazon’s Fulfilment Centre or BMW in Germany. You can also gain valuable experience by taking an optional placement year. As a postgraduate student at ARU, you’ll be part of our Faculty of Business and Law, home to around 6,000 students from over 100 countries, it’s the perfect backdrop to your studies and a great place to build connections with like-minded people. Our Masters in International Logistics and Supply Chain Management is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), meaning you’ll graduate from ARU with the advance purchasing, logistics and supply chain expertise you need to succeed in this fast-moving, exhilarating area. You’ll also be eligible to become a member of CIPS upon graduation.

Entry requirements

Normally, entrants will be expected to hold a first degree from an internationally recognised university, at a minimum of lower second class honours. This first degree must include a business or management module within it. Alternatively, entrants with significant management experience within the logistics industry will be considered. Candidates who do not possess any of these entry criteria, but can demonstrate appropriate relevant experience in a post of management or professional responsibility may be admitted if, in the opinion of the admissions tutor, they are capable of profiting from and contributing to the pathway. Requests for admission with APL (admission with credit) will be managed via standard university procedures. If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 ( Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
