Looking to further your career in the sport management industry? This master's in sport management will give you the advanced knowledge and skills required for a successful career in sport management. You will develop skills in research, analysis and communication to apply to any career in the sport management, leadership or governance field. Throughout the core modules, you will be encouraged to critically apply theories, concepts and frameworks in sport management. You will engage in debates and critical evaluation of the local, national and international context, enabling you to think critically about management in the sport industries. Workshop delivery will involve critically evaluating current practice and engaging in debates with peers and lecturers. You’ll receive continual support through your studies with formative assessments, which will help to assess your knowledge and understanding. Through choosing assessment titles related to your interest, you will be able to tailor the course towards your own specific career ambitions. Research informed teaching is embedded at Solent and is a key element of the course curriculum on this master’s programme. This course is for: This course is suited to those who want a more complex understanding of the sport management industry and who want to develop their knowledge and skills to be able to work in a changing sport management sector. While it is not essential that applicants possess a relevant undergraduate qualification in a sport, leisure, recreation and/or fitness and health oriented area, it will be imperative that an applicant possesses a certain level of experience, or at least a keen interest in at least one sport, leisure, recreation or fitness and health-related discipline.

Entry requirements
• An honours degree at 2:1 or higher Language Requirements Applicants who do not have English as their first language will be required to demonstrate an approved level of proficiency in the use of the English language. The agreed minimum requirements for this course are: • IELTS minimum 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each individual component • TOEFL IBT 92 with a minimum of 22 in writing and a minimum of 20 in reading, listening and speaking • Duolingo English Language Test - 115 overall with minimum of 100 in each component or equivalent. Qualifications are checked before enrolment, and international students must bring their original certificates or certified copies when coming to study at the University.
