Course summary
This course is subject to approval for 2025 entry. This programme builds on our international reputation in publishing, media and the creative industries. Your first year is shared with BA English. Throughout your degree you will study the written word across time and space, from Shakespeare to popular music, comic books to Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. By the end of your studies, you will be able to communicate in a variety of creative and critical forms, understand audiences and their reading preferences, and navigate the contemporary world of digital publishing. Lecturers with professional experience in the publishing industry will help you develop specialised and applied skills and knowledge that will enhance your career prospects. You will also have the chance to acquire practical industry experience yourself, through a work placement or by undertaking an industry-related project. ·
