Course summary
Our Master of Laws LLM allows you to choose from over 30 modules, covering a wide range of topics. This means you can tailor your LLM to your interests and career goals and gain a diverse legal education or focus on a specific area of law. Modules
You will complete 120 credits from the full selection of modules available, plus a 60-credit dissertation. Guidance and support on choosing a dissertation topic and designing your project will be provided through bespoke workshops and one-to-one support.
Assessment method
You will be assessed by exam or essay, or a combination of both. Assessments take place at the end of each term. Practice assignments, guidance on exam techniques, time management workshops, and one-to-one legal skills advice sessions are offered throughout the year to prepare you for these assessments.
Entry requirements
2:1 (or international equivalent) in law, humanities or social sciences; IELTS: 6.5 (no less than 6.5 in writing and reading, and 6.0 in speaking and listening).
