Course summary

The MSc International Business will give you a deep understanding of the macro and micro contexts of international business, as you acquire, develop, and integrate international business theory, and build the skills needed to apply this to international business practice. Core management techniques are analysed from a global lens to understand their application and impact. You will gain expert knowledge and understanding of the political, social, and cultural aspects of business, focussing on the European Union, Asia, and the USA. The Masters dissertation provides the opportunity to conceive, design and write a substantial research project within the broad subject area of international business. You can choose to further specialise in Data Analytics or Human Resource Management learning which will be reflected in your degree title. The programme is designed for business studies graduates wishing to pursue a career in international business, mature students wishing to improve career options and develop expertise, and business practitioners wishing to acquire the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to enable them to compete in a rapidly developing and constantly evolving global business environment. (The University regularly ‘refreshes’ courses to make sure they are as up-to-date as possible. In addition it undertakes formal periodic review of courses in a process called 'revalidation’ to ensure that they continue to meet standards and are current and relevant. This course will be revalidated in the near future and it is possible that there will be some changes to the course as described in this prospectus.)
