Digital Media & Information Studies explores the creation, use and impact of digital content and information in the arts, humanities and society at large. It brings a human perspective to the issues of the digital age. Spanish is the second most widely spoken language in the world and is an official language in more than 20 countries. Why study this course at the University of Glasgow? Our rich environment for practice-based teaching and research is immersed in heritage and provides first-hand experience in ways that knowledge has been created, preserved and communicated from the past to the digital age. Staff in Glasgow cover a wide range of topics and you will have the opportunity to work with native speakers from different parts of the Spanish-speaking world. If you progress to Honours you will spend year 3 abroad, usually as a language assistant in Spain or Latin America, on a placement arranged through the British Council, or as a student at a university in a Spanish-speaking country, which can include Latin America.
