Developed with and accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), our BA (Hons) Sales and Marketing Management degree at Cardiff Met ensures you gain the latest industry knowledge and practical skills with our industry-aligned curriculum. Our CIM ‘Accredited Degree’ status also provides you with the opportunity to gain exemptions from CIM Certificate and Diploma in Professional and Digital Marketing qualifications. Designed to develop strategic Sales and Marketing Managers, our degree offers a blend of marketing management theory combined with specialist Sales expertise. Sales and Marketing are closely connected and work together to help organisations grow, generating leads and converting them into customers. All whilst ensuring every customer feels valued and has a great experience. Learn how to successfully manage a salesforce, understand consumer behaviour and effectively negotiate to close sales with confidence. Plus, we’ll equip you with the latest marketing and sales techniques to deliver data-driven sales and marketing strategies. You will also develop the adaptability and strategic thinking skills essential for senior management roles within the sales and marketing industry, ensuring you are industry ready and resilient to tackle the ever-changing market demands. Get hands-on with specialist industry software and put theory into practice during your Sales in Practice module in your second year. Our lecturers, who are both research-active and industry-experienced, will teach you the key skills you need for the workplace after graduation. You will have the opportunity to join our ‘Met Marketers’ society and CIM Student chapter to engage in creative and entrepreneurial activities. Take on the global CIM The Pitch competition and tackle a real-life marketing challenge set by a leading charity, where top finalists get the chance to pitch their ideas directly to the client. We offer this degree with two study options. You can choose three years full-time or four years full-time which would include a one-year industry placement between years two and three that will give you hands-on experience in a real-life working environment. This year in industry gives you practical skills that many employers seek, giving you a competitive edge upon graduation.
