Course summary

The International Foundation Year (IFY) is designed for students who wish to gain admission to a range of undergraduate courses at Canterbury Christ Church University, and have applied for a BA/BSc degree which includes an additional foundation year. The International Foundation Year will enable you to improve your English language, study skills and content knowledge to the level necessary to take an undergraduate degree. It lasts one year, after which you will be able to join your chosen degree course.

Home (UK) Fees: Home (UK) tuition fees for standard undergraduate degree and PGCE courses at Canterbury Christ Church University are currently set in line with the maximum tuition fee cap set by the UK Government. Canterbury Christ Church University expects the 2026/27 tuition fees for standard undergraduate degrees (excluding Foundation Year 0) and PGCE courses for Home students, to be set at the maximum tuition fee cap, currently £9,535. However, this is subject to any changes to the maximum tuition fee cap, or any other changes to regulated undergraduate tuition fees, that might be subsequently approved by Parliament for the 2026/27 academic year. International Tuition Fees (including EU fees): Undergraduate tuition fees for International students are not subject to the Government’s regulations on maximum tuition fees.
