Course summary

The discipline based pathway of the MA in Theology and the parallel Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate serves to resource missions and ministry, support continuing professional development and act as an excellent platform for further research. In addition, full-time and flexible part-time routes make study accessible for everyone – wherever you are in the world! The pathway and the parallel Postgraduate Diploma courses each have four course units. These course units are structured around ten two-and-a-half hour seminars. The seminars are facilitated by specialists in the appropriate disciplines. In-depth reading, seminar presentations, group discussion and preparation of written assignments are all included within the course units. This pathway of the general MA in Theology tracks a single discipline pathway across within Biblical Studies. Nazarene Theological College is an approved partner of The University of Manchester, delivering programmes developed by Nazarene Theological College, approved by and leading to an award of the University of Manchester.

Modules

Compulsory modules: Christian holiness in biblical perspective; contextualising scripture. Elective units: Advanced Greek texts; Christian holiness in Pauline perspective; advanced Hebrew; independent study.

Assessment method

Assessment methods include essays, presentations and seminar participation.


Entry requirements

Good Honours degree in a relevant subject (exceptional entry considered). International applicants will need a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or its equivalent.

As a private college, NTC receives no support from government sources. The College is supported by gifts and donations from Churches and from individual donors, and this allows student fees to be set at a competitive rate.
