Course summary
Learn how to excel in an international business environment. Develop your management and intercultural skills, work or study abroad and become fluent in French. Gain specialised knowledge of the international business environment and the global economy. Learn the fundamentals of management while studying business and culture in a foreign language. We teach all units covering language, history, politics and culture in French. This includes some units that focus on the business context. This combination of language and business will help you understand the professional environment in French-speaking countries, preparing you for your time abroad. Two leading departments deliver this course: the School of Management and the Department of Politics, Languages & International Studies. Years 1 and 2 You'll study economics, finance and organisational behaviour. You'll also learn about the history and culture of French-speaking countries. In Year 2, you'll prepare for your year abroad by learning more about working, studying and doing business in French. Year 3 Spend up to 12 months in a French-speaking country. You’ll have the flexibility to choose an International Academic Exchange, a work placement or a combination of both (depending on visa restrictions). Final year Specialise by choosing from a range of management units. Optional units in French will further develop your sociopolitical and cultural knowledge of the French speaking world.
